NYC Fast Food

Hello!  Welcome to NYC Fast Food.

Yes, I know that is an odd name for a website, but there is a reason for choosing that particular combination of words. When a person in NYC want fast food there is a pretty good chance that they will log on to a computer and type in: NYC Fast Food or maybe Fast Food NYC in order to find a fast food restaurant.

When a person in NYC want to locate  fast food restaurants in order to get healthier fast food they are normally not looking for fast food chains.

Healthier choices can usually be found at healthy fast food restaurants such as Energy Kitchen™

We are a fast food nation and love to eat at Burger King™and Taco Bell™

There are food restaurants in the United States that do not serve fried chicken or saturated fat food and they can be found in nyc fast food locations.

I love healthy fast food. I like it hot, quick, and healthy. In my opinion, the best healthy fast food can be found at Energy Kitchen ™.I went to the grand opening of a new location and the food was great.

Research conducted in London at the Medical Research Council Human Nutrition Center and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine reported that people who regularly eating at Kentucky Fried Chicken , McDonald’s, or Burger King will probably gain weight and become obese.

Normally, fast food contain more calories than healthy foods and upset the normal appetite system in the body.

The body consumes almost twice as many calories when you eat a Whopper and french fries as it would if you ate a vegetable salad. Fast food restaurants use constant advertising to get people to eat more fast food and create more obese people.

Fast foods are foods that have a high energy density. The size of the portion is the measure used to describe the amount of food intake. A healthy meal the same portion as fast food would generally contained less calories.

Because fast food have a high energy density people gain weight eating regular portions. Our body normally crave low energy density foods.

In countries where less high energy density foods are available obesity is not such a huge problem. The human body was not designed to deal with the high energy density foods we consumed. Pay a visit to a nyc fast food location and you will see the difference that a healthy choice can make.

Eating fast foods can led to clogged arteries and heart disease The San Francisco Veterans Administration Medical Center found that certain type of fat known as oxidized fat can speed-up buildup of plaque in arteries.

Oxidized fat is found in such fast foods as pizza, fries and hamburgers. Fast foods are high in saturated fats and lots of soda as well as low quality carbohydrates. Our bodies need lots of healthy fats and fiber. An excellent place to get healthy fast food in NYC is Energy Kitchen ™.

Energy Kitchen Continues NY Expansion

Article from:  http://www.fastcasual.com
Energy Kitchen added new breakfast combinations to its menu in September, now the company has added to its roster its tenth New York City location.

The restaurant is the chain’s first location on Manhattan’s Upper West Side and is owned and operated by Duane Harden, who also owns the area development rights for two additional locations. Harden also is targeting the Upper West Side for a second location, as well as downtown Brooklyn for his third.

“There are numerous restaurants in the area that claim to offer low-calorie meals to customers, but none of those come close to what we offer,” Harden said. “I couldn’t be more excited about bringing Energy Kitchen and the healthy lifestyle it represents to the Upper West Side.”

Energy Kitchen posts calorie counts on menu items even though the chain is not required to do so.

“Since New York became the first city in the country to require calorie posting, New Yorkers are more aware that getting a truly healthful, quick-serve meal from an average restaurant can be a losing proposition,” said Anthony Leone, Energy Kitchen’s founder and president. “Even though we are not required to do so, we choose to share this information because we are dedicated to empowering our guests to make healthy dining choices with ease.”

Ways to Find Cheap Eats in NYC

Most people cannot afford a fine dining experience every day or even every month. Many of them follow a budget, regularly sticking with cheap eats in NYC and splurging with a little higher-priced place now and then. The problem with eating cheap is some people think their only options are the normal fast food choices like Taco Bell, Burger King, or McDonald’s. This doesn’t mean you cannot find healthy food in these establishments, it just means that most of their selections are something you shouldn’t eat every day. Before you feel like you have to pack a lunch every day, start asking around for eating places that offer healthy foods at a reasonable price.

There are different ways to go about this. Your best option might be asking your co-workers and friends which places they like to frequent for healthy choices. Some places might have ready-to-eat sandwiches or soups that you can take and run. Other people like places such as Energy Kitchen or the Organic Grill because they can make a hot plate of food in several minutes, allowing you time to eat there or take a package back to work.

Another way to find out about cheap eats in NYC that offer quality food is by searching the “New York Times Dining and Wine” guide, the “Michelin Guide” or the “New York City Zagat Guide.” Many of these guides rank the 20,000 restaurants in New York City and helps you find a place to eat. Then you can find out a place’s service, food and overall experience before you even enter the doors of a restaurant in Times Square or on the Upper West Side.

These surveys and guides also give out awards on a yearly basis, allowing you to see what customers say about cheap eats in NYC, ethnic restaurants or fine dining establishments.
